Often caused by:
- Incorrect mix ratio of syrup and water
- Using anything other than Eskimo Joe's slush syrup as this can cause excess condensation, which can then cause ice to form on the outside of your tanks or between the tanks
Quick checks:
Check only genuine Eskimo Joe's syrup is used - using anything else will void your warranty and damage your machine
Check mix ratio is correct - 1 part syrup to 5 parts water (a guide to mixing your syrup can be found here)
Check the fill levels of the tank are not below the minimum fill line on the tank, and always keep the fill levels near the maximum fill level line
Next steps:
Make sure overnight mode is used - don't just turn the machine off with slush in as this damages the machine and causes ice chunks. Switch to overnight mode as per image below:
Check consistency setting - you can find out how to do this here
Always fill the slush up to the maximum fill line before switching to overnight mode

Pro Tips:
Always mix your syrups to the correct syrup and water ratio (1 part syrup, 5 parts water - you can find a guide to mixing syrup here) using an Eskimo Joe's syrup mixing jug - you can purchase this here
Keep pre-mixed syrup in a refrigerator to keep it cold so that it freezes down faster
Always keep your slush close to the maximum fill line on the tanks
Use overnight mode
Keep clear space around your machine, at least 30cm each side and 10cm at rear
If the straw stands up straight in the middle of the cup you've usually got good slush
