If your machine is tripping the power, or making other appliances trip the power, ensure your machine has been set up as per the electrical and socket requirements below:
- An electrical supply of 230v 13A
- A standard socket – Double or single socket, manufactured to BS EN 60950, BS5733, BS1363 standard as per picture below:
- Make sure you have not plugged your machine into an extension lead or multi socket adaptors as these can cause overloading which will trip the power. Do not use reeled extension cables as these can overheat
- A single socket extension will prevent any overloading of the socket
- Extension should not be more than 2 metres long - this will ensure no overloading of the socket/cable
- Cable should be a minimum of 13A
- If in an open area/walkway, the cable should be fixed to a wall as highlighted below:
Outdoor Electrical Requirements
- Outdoor socket specification: must be Weatherproof IP66 rated, with high impact UV stable socket housing
- If your machine is placed outdoors, the machine housing must also be weather resistant
